ive got near enough a double shift tomorow..2till10 pm and then 4am till 2 pm

the powers that be are having a christmas dinner/ pissup on friday starting at 5pm and rather than letting the late shift go home early and take a couple hours holiday time they’re just having us take an early shift instead

sucky (im not even going to christmas thing.... against my religion... thou shalt not voluntarily spend time with thyne coworkers... and thou shalt sure as fuck not consume alcohol where the fuckheads in the office can see you)

Dang, that is super crappy. Every time you post about your management, i think they need to pull their heads out of each other’s asses. Only having a 6 hour break between two shifts is dangerous, especially in manufacturing. I hope you can rest ok so you stay sharp. Be careful out there and try not to let mismanagement raise your blood pressure. (even though that’s exactly what I’m doing right now. The CEO is making bad decisions and not listening to my input when he specifically asks for it. Driving me effing nutzo)

honestly.. if it werent for management going completely of the rails this would be a great job.. good pay good hours and below management level they actually care about their employees.... but yeah... management is chasing statistics with zero input from the floor

ill be fine tho cheers just tired... work me is unflappable and unbotherable... wich is also why im not going to the dinner n drinks

coz unpaid me is a very different animal

try not to let the stubborn ceo drive you completely mad

I’m in my yearly struggle leading up to Christmas break where I’m trying to finish all the holiday details while also trying to get enough accomplished at work so I don’t feel panicked and guilty taking off when Friday arrives.

The end of the year is always a little stressful but for some reason I just can’t kick it this year. I’m usually pretty good about separating work stress and personal stress but the past few months both have blended into a dysfunctional shit shake lmaooo. It’s nice to look at or do things that make you happy. I went for a random Sunday cruise this weekend and that seemed to help a little.

Do you have time off? I’m hoping that helps me pull everything back together. It certainly did last year.

There is always too much to do at the end of the year and racing against time. Oh well, it’ll get done (ideally) or it won’t. If everything doesn’t, don’t feel too guilty and try to enjoy the break!

Yes, it’s all cooling off (winter pun intended). I overloaded on classes this quarter and work got hellaciously busy. I’d heard we normally hang out and watch Christmas movies so I figured the class overload would be super manageable . Turns out this year is different and everything was awful. I almost broke tbh.

Fortunately, quarter is done and grades are good. On track to finish the MBA middle of next year. Job is happening as it will and my wife is an amazing woman.

Here’s to a few good drinks to celebrate the close of another year and some time to clear the mind coming in the future.
